Can people stop the fighting in Iraq?

They said that the only people that could stop the fighting is politicians. The prime minister of Iraq named Nouri al Maliki or Jawad al Maliki. Nouri al Maliki characterized the situation of Iraq as a political crisis. He also stated that the politicians are the only people that can stop the bloodshed of innocent people in Iraq. He was put under alot of pressure when the Shiites killed 200 in Baghdad. He stated to a reporter that "realize there are no winners or losers in this battle" he was talking about the politicians. He said this at The National Security Council. The Shiites killed 200 in Baghdad's Sadr City. They want the politicians of the Shiits and the Sunni's plus the Kurdish to meet and come to a treaty. It is way harder than it seems. Muqtada al-Sadr is threating to withdraw support from al Maliki. He is also supposed to meet with Bush later this week. "We announce that if the security situation and the basic services do not improve, and if the prime minister goes ahead and meets with the criminal Bush in Amman, then we will suspend our memberships with the Iraqi parliament and the government" said al Akeili. This is a big quote said by Akeili. They want president Bush to pull out the troops but I do not see why we should when there is a lot of killing going on.
