The four top Democratic Candidates
For this essay there will be four candidates. These four are Hillary Clinton,Barack Obama,Joe Biden and Christopher Dodd. Two of these people don't really have a chance but this essay will talk about all of them.
Hillary Clinton was born on October 26, 1947. She is 59 years old, she is from Chicago, Illinois. She graduated Yale Law School in 1973. After she graduated she moved to Arkansas where she married a guy named
Bill Clinton the 42nd president of the United States. She served as the First Lady of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981. Then she got re-elected from 1983 to 1992. While she was the First Lady of the United States she had to testify before a grand jury as a punishment for the Whitewater Scandal. She was never charged with any wrong doing. There was other charges while Clinton was president. After this she moved to New York and was elected for the United States Senate in 2000. She agreed with president Bush on foreign policy issues but then disagreed with him on domestic issues. The person that is the person challenging her is a man named Barack Obama.
Barack Obama is a Senator from Illinois. He is from the Democratic party. While running for Senate he won by a land slide. He got 70% of the vote. When he announced he was running in February 2007, he started to talk a lot about ending the war in Iraq. Is that a good thing for his presidential campaign? Some might think it is good that he is going to end the war in Iraq, while others might not. Of course he thinks so because that is the main thing he is promising. He also is talking a lot about universal health Care. If elected he will be the first Black President. If Hillary is elected she will also make history for being the first female to be president. Will we be seeing History?
These next two guys do not really have a chance of beating Hillary or Barack. These two guys are Joe Biden and Christopher Dodd. Joe Biden was born November 20, 1942. Which means that he is 64. Joe Biden has made some comments that are not good for your election, such as when he was talking to the Indians of America in Delaware he says "I've had a great relationship. In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans — moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking." This is not a smart thing to say. Christopher Dodd is in the same boat as Joe Biden as in he does not have a great chance of winning. He was born May 27, 1944.
Who is going to win? As a Country I think we will be voting for Barack Obama. My opinion would be different but it does not matter what I think. I think as a nation we are going to select Barack because he is a well spoken man and he is telling the people what they want to here.
