The 2008 Republican Canadidates

There are a lot of people that are running for the Republican party but there are only four that is still in the running. The top four are Rudy Giuliani, Mike Huckabee, John McCain and last Mitt Romney. These four guys have the best chance at winning the Republican side.
Rudy Giuliani is best known as the Major of New York. He served New York from 1994-2001. During his reign he was The person of the year, he was knighted by Queen Elizabeth. He was born May 28,1944 in Brooklyn, New York. He went to Manhattan College, where he majored in political science. He graduated in 66 with an 85 average. He married Regina Peruggi in 1968 but then divorced in 1982, only to remarry in 1984 to Donna Hanover. He also divorced Donna in 2002. He remarried in 2003 to a woman named Judith Nathan. In February he filled out a ballot to become The President of The United States.
The next Candidate is Mike Huckabee. Mike Huckabee was born on August 24, 1955 in Hope, Arkansas. He went to Ouachita Baptist University. He got his Bachelors in 2.5 years. Her also go Magna cum Laude. He was elected the Governor of Arkansas in 1972. Huckabee was sworn in after Tucker had committed a felony. He is married to Janet Huckabee. When Mike ran for Governor in 2002 his wife ran for Secretary of State.
The next two people are John McCain and Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney is the Governor of Massachusetts. Mitt Romney is probably the person that has least chance of winning this race. The next person is John McCain. There is a lot of stuff that you can say about John McCain. He is a war vet, he ran against George Bush in the presidential campaign in 2000. McCain was almost killed in combat, he was cruising the coast of Vietnam getting ready to attack when a Zuni rocket was accidentally fired striking McCain's jet. He luckily escaped before the jet caught on fire. One of the two bombs he had on his aircraft went off and McCain got a lot of shrapnel.
All of these people have a fair chance of being the president but they still have to go through the top leader right now and that is Hillary Clinton. I think that the person representing this race will be John McCain. I think the people will vote for him because he has a lot of experience at doing this jog.

The four top Democratic Candidates

For this essay there will be four candidates. These four are Hillary Clinton,Barack Obama,Joe Biden and Christopher Dodd. Two of these people don't really have a chance but this essay will talk about all of them.
Hillary Clinton was born on October 26, 1947. She is 59 years old, she is from Chicago, Illinois. She graduated Yale Law School in 1973. After she graduated she moved to Arkansas where she married a guy named
Bill Clinton the 42nd president of the United States. She served as the First Lady of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981. Then she got re-elected from 1983 to 1992. While she was the First Lady of the United States she had to testify before a grand jury as a punishment for the Whitewater Scandal. She was never charged with any wrong doing. There was other charges while Clinton was president. After this she moved to New York and was elected for the United States Senate in 2000. She agreed with president Bush on foreign policy issues but then disagreed with him on domestic issues. The person that is the person challenging her is a man named Barack Obama.
Barack Obama is a Senator from Illinois. He is from the Democratic party. While running for Senate he won by a land slide. He got 70% of the vote. When he announced he was running in February 2007, he started to talk a lot about ending the war in Iraq. Is that a good thing for his presidential campaign? Some might think it is good that he is going to end the war in Iraq, while others might not. Of course he thinks so because that is the main thing he is promising. He also is talking a lot about universal health Care. If elected he will be the first Black President. If Hillary is elected she will also make history for being the first female to be president. Will we be seeing History?
These next two guys do not really have a chance of beating Hillary or Barack. These two guys are Joe Biden and Christopher Dodd. Joe Biden was born November 20, 1942. Which means that he is 64. Joe Biden has made some comments that are not good for your election, such as when he was talking to the Indians of America in Delaware he says "I've had a great relationship. In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian Americans — moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I'm not joking." This is not a smart thing to say. Christopher Dodd is in the same boat as Joe Biden as in he does not have a great chance of winning. He was born May 27, 1944.
Who is going to win? As a Country I think we will be voting for Barack Obama. My opinion would be different but it does not matter what I think. I think as a nation we are going to select Barack because he is a well spoken man and he is telling the people what they want to here.
